ABOUT US
We are a gathering of students and alumnus seeking to know and love God more, with the aim of reconnecting the lost souls on our campus and around us to God. Through our services, biblical teachings and mode of worship, we’ve brought about a safe haven where everyone in our family of light can be free to offer undiluted service unto God. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and hope is to show this love of Christ amongst ourselves as family and to everyone that we come across.
BRIEF HISTORY
Celestial Church of Christ Students’ Parish Oduduwa University Ipetumodu (CCCSPOUI) is an initiative of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) which was founded by Late Reverend, Pastor, Prophet, Founder Samuel Bilehou Joseph Oshoffa from heaven by DIVINE ORDER on the 29th of September 1947.
CCCSPOUI is a subsidiary of the church and was established by a student with a group of students of a private institution of Nigeria named Oduduwa University Ipetumodu (OUI) which is located at Ipetumodu, Osun State.
The church began in 2015. Celestial Church members always had to leave the school campus in order to attend their church services and this was not always convenient for some because of the curfews and emphasis placed on security by private institutions. With the absence of a Celestial church students’ gathering on the campus and the outspread of the celestial church worldwide, it had become long evident the gathering of celestial members needed to exist. Due to the technicalities that is involved in setting up a celestial church, the celestial church circuit head around us and others offered their support. It then, started out as a group meeting together for prayers all over campus and after several spiritual revelations and cause, the parish was then established starting out with a few students and has continue to grow since then.
Our motto is drafted out of 1 Peter 2 vs 9 which says “But we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that we should shew forth the praises of him who hath called us out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
Our tenets, doctrines and mode of worship are in line with Celestial Church world-wide.
OUR VISION
To reveal the glory of God on the campus, reconcile to God, youths and student members of CCC who are perishing and who have strayed away from the biblical doctrines of CCC.
To ensure Love and Unism amidst members of the church in and outside the school, ensure constant spiritual growth of every member, building them up biblically, as to become ambassadors of Christ.
Striving towards having an Edifice for the Lord, not just an edifice, but a place where God would be worshipped in truth and spirit, a place we can all dwell together and worship God in one accord.
WHAT WE DO
We as a gathering of celestials thank God for the grace, he has given us right from the beginning to this very moment. We try our best to create a good Christian environment by promoting love amongst ourselves. We are always open and welcoming to visitors and non-members who would like to worship with us and we show respect to ourselves especially towards the elderly who may come to worship with us and have a special way of greeting and accommodating them. We strictly adhere to all the rules and tenets of Celestial Church and prioritize Holiness, cleanliness of heart and sincerity during our services and at all times. Holy is the Lord God.
OUR DEPARTMENT
One department can do things another cannot, but they still have the same goal. In Christianity there is one body, but there are many different functions. God has blessed us all differently. Some people are preachers, givers, singers, teachers, prayer warriors, etc. We all have a purpose to play in the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

FAITH
What does it take to know God and have a relationship with Him?
Firstly, you need to know that God created you. He loves you and he want you to know Him. His son Jesus came so that each of us could know and understand God in a personal way. Jesus alone can bring meaning and purpose to life.
What keeps us from knowing God?
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23
Most times, when we sense that separation or distance from God, it is because of our sins. We have all sinned and are all imperfect humans. The Bible says “All of us like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way.”
There is a distance, a gap between us and God. We may be doing good for others, religious rituals, trying to be a good person, etc. But the problem is that none of these good efforts actually cover up our sin or remove it. Our sin is known by God and stands as a barrier between us and God. Further, the Bible says that the penalty for sin is death. We would be eternally separated from God.
Except…for what God did for us.
We Can Know God
Jesus Christ took all of our sins, suffered and paid for them with his life on the cross. Jesus died for us, in our place. He did this out of his tremendous love for us.
“…he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” Because of Jesus’ death on the cross, our sin doesn’t have to separate us from God any longer.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus not only died for our sin, but after this death on the cross, he physically came back to life three days later, just as he said he would.
Jesus said he could answer prayer, forgive sin, judge the world, give us eternal life. His countless miracles supported his words.
Jesus was clear, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me.”
Instead of trying to reach God, he tells us how we can begin a relationship with him right now. Jesus says, “Come to me.” “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink...out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Just knowing what Jesus has done for us and what he is offering us is not enough. To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome him into our life…
We must individually accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
We accept Jesus by faith. The Bible says, “God saved you by his special favour when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
Accepting Jesus means believing that Jesus is the Son of God, then inviting him to guide and direct our lives. Jesus said, “I came that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.”
And here is Jesus’ invitation. He said, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”
You can receive Christ right now. Remember that Jesus says, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”14 Would you like to respond to his invitation? Here’s how.
HOW CAN YOU HELP US
There are various means by which you can help the church. Either by volunteering or funding church projects etc. life has given you blessings, it's important to share not just for us. sharing blessings might be as simple as having a conversation with someone or lending emotional support to a friend who is going through a tough time. Bringing the Lord's love into your community is a powerful act. It may not always be easy, but as a person of faith, God calls upon you to serve others and bring his light to them. In many ways, the act of being charitable is a reward in itself.
Proverbs 3:27
"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act."
Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
